George Osahon is a renowned professional in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. He started his career as a geologist with the Nigerian National Oil Corporation (NNOC) which later  transformed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and rose through the ranks to a management position in the Corporation before joining Allied Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Camac Corporation of Houston, USA.

About Me

George Osahon is a renowned professional in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. He started his career as a geologist with the Nigerian National Oil Corporation (NNOC) which later  transformed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and rose through the ranks to a management position in the Corporation before joining Allied Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Camac Corporation of Houston, USA at its inception of the Indigenous Operatorship Program in 1990. As the COO, George led Allied Energy to first oil in 1996 but returned to NNPC in 2005 after twelve years as an indigenous player. Serving first as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and thereafter Group General Manager (GGM) of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) and the Nigerian Content Division of the Corporation, George again exited the Corporation in 2009. In 2013, George was appointed as Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), a position he held for two years.

George is a past President of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). He serves on the board of several companies including Planoplex Limited, Yadah-G Insurance Brokers Limited and Energia Limited.

George holds a Bachelor degree in Geology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria and a Masters in Petroleum Geology as well as Diploma from Imperial College, London, UK.
